Novel Study

This novel study is a class favourite. I did this as a read aloud with my class. After each chapter, students engage in discussions, take notes, and make connections between the novel and what they have learned in social studies. The final project has multiple options to ensure that all students are able to create something that reflects their understanding.

Notes

Using these small booklets, students can keep track of their notes for the novel study. This includes events, characters, and their predictions. These were very effective to help students gather their thoughts prior to a group discussion.
