Experiments
The Bernoulli Principle
Students explore real-world examples of the Bernoulli Principle with this station activity. In groups, they move around to read about the Bernoulli Principle and work together to find areas of low pressure and areas of high pressure.
Aerofoils
In this hands-on experiment, students create airfoils using a sheet of paper. They compare the effectiveness of different airfoils to explore the importance of lift for flight.
Paper Airplane Design Challenge
Technology Project
In this interdisciplinary project that I developed in conjunction with my teaching partner, students explore the impact of technology. They analyse the impact of changes in Canada, different technologies that were developed, and how new advents in aircraft technology improved flight. The project culminates in a video.
